Tattoo Hot Sauces Brand Identity and Package Design
Creating the branding and package design for a new consumer brand is a perfect project for us and to see that new brand take wings in the marketplace is very exciting. Tattoo, a new line of globally inspired hot sauces is “making its mark” on the grocery shelf.
Tattoo’s packaging has a brand-forward design created to make a real connection with consumers through bold illustrations and a vibrant color palette. Our inspiration came from the sauce creators, the chefs whose creativity and passion are symbolized in tattoos that express their dedication to the craft.
In this competitive category, the package design is the primary marketing vehicle to win customers. We knew Tattoo’s package design needed to stand out, so we used bold illustrations representing the tattoo artistry unique to the culinary cultures that inspired each of the six sauces. The transparent labels let the rich color of each sauce shine through to appeal to consumers looking for authenticity and unique flavors.
The Tattoo sauces have been very well received. Recently featured in Supermarket News, Tattoo is now available in Walmart, Food Lion, Ingles, Shaw’s Markets, Jewell, Acme Fresh Markets and Amazon.com.
